Four people, one region

Wine as a way of telling a story.

Umbri Import AB was founded by four people with different backgrounds and one shared conviction: that wine is more interesting when you know whose hands made it.

We're driven by a deep passion for wine and the personal connections we build through it — with the producers who make it, and the people who end up drinking it. Every bottle we import carries a story: an expression of culture, tradition, and the people who created it. That story is at least as much the point as what's in the glass.

We put the same care into every part of the process, from choosing an estate to the moment a bottle reaches a customer — driven by a love for wine, curiosity, and a genuine wish to share something worth sharing.

What we're trying to change

We'd like to see more people choose artisan wine over the mass-produced alternative — not out of snobbery, but because affordable wine with character and a real story behind it makes drinking more personal, more meaningful, and more authentic. That's the shift we're part of: away from anonymous bottles, and toward wine as something worth knowing the story of.

Every bottle we bring into Sweden represents Umbria's history and craftsmanship, made by small-scale producers we've chosen deliberately. We want every one of them to be more than a product — something worth sharing, and worth the story behind it.

How we choose

Umbria has no coastline and, unlike its neighbour Tuscany, very little tourist glamour. That isolation kept the region's vineyards small and its methods old — which is exactly what we're looking for.

We visit every estate before we list anything from it. If it isn't something we'd pour at our own table, it doesn't reach yours — restaurant, bar, or otherwise.
