Barberani

Barberani farms within the Tiber River Park, on the hills above Lake Corbara, and has done since 1961. The estate was an early adopter of sulphite-free winemaking, using active oxygen and old-fashioned patience in place of chemistry, and part of the cellar runs on solar power.

The wine Luigi e Giovanna is a tribute to the estate's founders and their particular fondness for Grechetto touched by noble rot — a small, deliberate risk that gives the wine its character.
